Account & data

Delete your DinnerIQ account

DinnerIQ users can request permanent deletion of their account and associated DinnerIQ cloud data. Account freezing or temporary deactivation is not used as a substitute for deletion.

Before you request deletion: deleting your account is permanent. If you have an active Google Play subscription, deleting your DinnerIQ account does not automatically cancel billing. Cancel your subscription separately in Google Play.

Request deletion from the web

1
Email us from your DinnerIQ account email.

This helps us verify that the request is coming from the account owner.

2
Use the subject "DinnerIQ account deletion request."

Include the email address used for your DinnerIQ account.

3
Complete any reasonable ownership verification we request.

We will not ask you for your password.

What we delete

After verification, we delete the DinnerIQ account and associated DinnerIQ cloud data under our control, including eligible synchronized recipes, pantry data, grocery data, meal plans, preferences, feedback, and related account content.

What may remain

  • Data stored only on your own device may remain until you clear DinnerIQ app storage or uninstall the app.
  • Google Play transaction, subscription, tax, or payment records are controlled by Google and may be retained under Google's policies and legal obligations.
  • We may retain limited records when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or legal compliance.

Subscriptions

If you subscribed through Google Play, cancel the subscription in Google Play to stop future renewal. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions.

In-app deletion

DinnerIQ will include a readily discoverable account-deletion option in the Account area before public release. This web page provides the external deletion-request path required for users who cannot access the app.
