Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Primal Array LLC ("Primal Array," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use DinnerIQ, our meal-planning, pantry, grocery, recipe, and cooking application and related website.
1. Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, DinnerIQ may process:
- Account information: such as your email address and authentication information needed to create and maintain your DinnerIQ account.
- Recipe data: recipes you create, import, edit, save, rate, favorite, or annotate.
- Pantry and grocery data: food items, quantities, storage locations, package details, grocery-list items, and related notes.
- Meal-planning and cooking data: meal plans, servings, cooking history, recipe feedback, preferences, and similar app content.
- Images you choose to submit: recipe photos, screenshots, or camera images used with Smart Photo & Scan Import.
- Support communications: information you include when contacting us for help, account deletion, or other support.
2. Local and cloud data
DinnerIQ is designed to remain useful with local data on your device. Some features may also synchronize account and app data to cloud services so that your information can be restored or used across supported devices. Data stored only on your device is under your device's control and can generally be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
3. Smart Photo & Scan Import
If you choose Smart Photo & Scan Import, DinnerIQ sends the image you select to DinnerIQ cloud services so the recipe can be extracted and structured. The image may be processed by an artificial-intelligence service provider for this purpose. This feature is optional and is only activated when you choose to submit an image.
We use the submitted image to perform the requested recipe extraction. DinnerIQ is designed to retain the resulting recipe data rather than the submitted image unless a feature expressly tells you otherwise. You should review imported recipes before saving them because automated extraction can make mistakes.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide and improve DinnerIQ, including to authenticate accounts, synchronize eligible data, generate meal plans, maintain pantry and grocery information, import recipes, provide Cook Mode, answer support requests, prevent abuse, secure the service, and operate Premium features.
We do not sell your personal information or use DinnerIQ account content for third-party advertising.
5. Service providers
We use service providers to operate DinnerIQ. Depending on the feature, these may include:
- Supabase for authentication, database, synchronization, and server-side functions.
- OpenAI for Smart Photo & Scan recipe extraction when you choose that Premium feature.
- Google Play for Android app distribution, subscriptions, purchase processing, and subscription management.
- Cloudflare for website hosting, networking, and related infrastructure.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We limit information shared with providers to what is reasonably needed for the feature being used.
6. Payments
Premium subscriptions purchased through Google Play are processed by Google. Primal Array does not receive your full payment-card number from Google Play. We may receive subscription status, product, transaction, and entitlement information needed to unlock Premium and provide support.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process, including encrypted network connections for cloud communications. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Retention
We retain account and cloud-synchronized DinnerIQ data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When a verified account-deletion request is completed, we delete the DinnerIQ account and associated cloud data, except information we may need to retain for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, accounting, or legal obligations. Data held by platform providers such as Google may be retained according to their own policies.
9. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your DinnerIQ account and associated cloud data. Visit https://dinneriq.primalarray.com/delete-account for the current deletion process. DinnerIQ will also provide a discoverable in-app account-deletion path before public release.
10. Children
DinnerIQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to DinnerIQ, contact us so we can review and address the issue.
11. Food, allergy, and dietary information
Recipe, substitution, dietary, pantry, and cooking information is provided for general convenience. Users are responsible for checking ingredients, allergens, dietary restrictions, food-safety requirements, and cooking temperatures appropriate to their circumstances.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as DinnerIQ changes. We will update the effective date above when we make material changes and may provide additional notice when appropriate.
